Do the daily capital-city cooking quests (Stormwind/Orgrimmar) from day one — Chef's Awards gate every good Cata recipe. Seafood Magnifique Feast is the raid-night staple.

MoP Route (525-600)

MoP rebuilt Cooking around the six Ways at Halfhill Market. Level Way of the Grill first (strength/agility food sells best), buy ingredient sacks with Ironpaw Tokens, and pick up the other Ways later for feast crafting.

Tips

        Pair with Fishing to cut costs, especially in WotLK where fish dominate recipes.
Cook as you level; many mobs drop meats along your class leveling routes.
Use cooking fires in the wild or carry flint/tinder. In cities, inns give the fire buff.
Sell raid foods (Dragonfin/Feasts) mid-week; prices spike before raid nights.
