Merciless Gladiator gear is now discounted, and there is no rating requirement

Burning Crusade Anniversary Arena Season 2 ended last night, which means the Merciless Gladiator set is now sold at a discount by the Arena vendors, with the rating requirements lifted. Every piece is open to everyone: if a weapon or a shoulder slot stayed out of reach all season because your team never hit the cutoff, this is the window where it finally opens up.

Everything from the season is included: all Season 2 set pieces, weapons, off-hands and relics. So the full Merciless kit is on the table, set bonuses included, and the weapon and off-hand slots are the ones that were hardest to reach at full price.

The part with a deadline: Season 3 begins during the week of September 1st, and once it does your leftover Arena Points are converted into Honor Points. Points you are still holding on to are worth far more spent now than converted later, so if you have been stockpiling, this is the moment to empty the bank.

If you are weighing what to buy first, weapons and off-hands tend to hold their value the longest. Set pieces get replaced once the Season 3 set arrives and you start earning toward it, while a good weapon carries you through the transition and stays useful in the meantime.
