Updated 2026 Dual-Wield DPS Supports Classic / TBC / WotLK

Why Fury in Classic?

Once Dual Wield is available and you secure solid weapons, Fury offers fast, consistent damage. Earlier levels prefer 2H Arms; swap to Fury around 40+ with good dual-wields.

Strengths

  • Fast kill speed with Flurry/Crit.
  • Bloodthirst sustain; rage generation snowballs with gear.
  • Great dungeon DPS when weapons are strong.

Weaknesses

  • Highly weapon dependent; weak if dual-wields are bad.
  • Less control than Arms; no big burst CC.
  • Can be rage-starved on single weak hits.

Talents by Level (Classic 1-60)

Early (10-39)

  • Level as Arms to Mortal Strike; Fury off-tree for Cruelty/Enrage.
  • Pick up Dual Wield at 20; use if weapons are good.
  • Flurry 5/5 when reachable (requires respec to Fury at 40).

Mid (40-49)

  • Bloodthirst at 40 (Fury core); Improved Whirlwind for cleave.
  • Precision for hit; Enrage 5/5 for damage spikes.
  • Dual-wield slow/fast or slow/slow depending on gear.

Late (50-60)

  • Armored to the Teeth (not in Classic) skip; fill Commanding Presence/Imp Battle Shout.
  • Arms off-tree: Tactical Mastery, Impale if not taken.
  • Optional: Improved Berserker Rage for rage injection.
Switch to Fury at 40+ when you have strong dual-wields (e.g., Thrash Blade + Dal’Rend main-hand set) and enough hit.

Rotation & Playstyle

Single Target

  • Maintain Battle Shout; Bloodthirst on cooldown.
  • Whirlwind on CD even single target (Classic threat-aware).
  • Execute sub 20%; Heroic Strike as rage dump.

Cleave

  • Whirlwind + Cleave spam with Flurry up.
  • Sweeping Strikes (if Arms hybrid) for extra cleave.
  • Use Demo Shout/Thunder Clap for safety when overpulling.

Survival

  • Bandage/eat between pulls; keep First Aid maxed.
  • Use Berserker Rage for fear immunity; Intimidating Shout reset.
  • Shield swap for Spell Reflect/Shield Block when needed.
